Curriculum Lead
Phoenix College is a friendly and forward-thinking Independent Specialist College based in East London, with excellent public transport links. We support around 70 learners aged 19–25 across several sites in Tower Hamlets. Our learners follow two main programmes: Preparation for Adulthood (PfA) and the DFN Project SEARCH supported internship programme.
We are a growing and evolving provision, and this is an exciting time to join us. We are looking for an enthusiastic Curriculum Lead who is ready to play a key role in shaping and improving our curriculum as the college continues to develop. This middle leadership role includes some classroom teaching and has a strong strategic focus on delivering high-quality, autism-specific/SEND education. Our curriculum is designed with a clear purpose: to ensure every student leaves us with a meaningful route into employment.
This role would suit a creative and motivated professional who is passionate about making a real difference to young people with autism and complex needs. You will need to be flexible and adaptable, responding positively to change as our provision grows. Experience of working in a specialist college is not essential, but experience supporting learners with high needs is required. Experience of SEN curriculum design is also essential.
We are looking for someone who is committed to making an outstanding contribution to our college and who shares our high expectations for all learners. You will be dedicated to maintaining high standards and improving outcomes for learners, while also being a warm and welcoming presence for parents, trustees and the wider community.
