Our amazing graduates have achieved some amazing outcomes in fantastic, inclusive businesses. Some even have 2 jobs!
Follow-on support begins halfway through the Project SEARCH year, when the intern begins to be supported in applying for jobs. The Employer Engagement Coordinator will visit businesses with interns, attend job fairs and instigate contact on line and arrange meetings as part of a thorough job search. Upon a successful application, the Follow-on Job Coach will support the intern in attending interviews, starting the job and integrating into the workplace. The Follow-on Job Coach will continue to check-in on the intern for a further 12 months following the completion of the programme, as well as regularly liaising with the employer and the intern’s family.
Alumni
We are keen to keep in touch with our graduates, whether it be formally or informally. Each term we organise a get together to catch up with everybody from years gone by, whether it be for an activity or meal. On top of this, we host monthly sessions to brush up on their employability skills. For example, dealing with tricky customer or colleagues, communication techniques or money management)
