A Word From The Head 3.12.21

Dear parents and carers,

It is hard to believe that we have entered December already! Students have been quite excited about the festive season and class groups have been out and about this week for some Christmas shopping. All students were given a budget to buy presents and they are all very excited about that!

END OF YEAR EVENTS
We are really looking forward to celebrating the end of the term with you so please save these dates:

• Wednesday 15th December
College Christmas Lunch

Students will be cooking their own Christmas Lunch on this day!

• Thursday 16th December
College Winter Fayre

We are hosting the Winter Fair at our new site for the first time! Please do come in to support your child and to buy some of the amazing products that our students have created over the term: body scrub, candles, soap, paintings… Hold fire with your Christmas shopping! Please do come in between 10am and 2pm on Thursday 16th December.

JOB FAIR
Our students will be attending a job fair in Canary Wharf on Thursday 9th December. It would be great if students could dress up on that day as they might meet potential employers.

THIS WEEK

One of Kameela’s targets is to use her voice and be more assertive. As part of this, she has started taking the initiative to socialise with a growing number of students throughout the day. She’s also encouraging students to stay warm when outside by reminding them to wear appropriate clothing in the cold weather. Ricky, P3

P1 spent the day at the O2. They visited the sky news centre where they did recordings in the news room and the sports room. NIketa, P1.
P2 students have had a really busy week indoors and outdoors. It was great to see Hamda back to college this week – she engaged in all sessions and looked very happy throughout the week. It was great to see her working so hard and learning new skills.
