A Word From The Head 1.10.21

Dear parents and carers,

We finished the first month of this academic with many reasons to celebrate.

Students settled in well, many new friendships have flourished and I have seen many outstanding examples of teaching and learning taking place daily at the college.

Our new curriculum and new courses are giving our students the chance to learn new skills from all teachers and they have enjoyed our rotational timetable. I look forward to sharing all these news with you during our first Parents Forum.

PARENTS FORUM – 12th OCTOBER
Just a reminder that we will host our first Parents Forum on the 12th October. We are going to host this event with both face-to-face and a remote options. We are sending a flyer home so you can let us know how you would like to attend the forum. I look forward to meeting you soon!

THIS WEEK
P3 celebrated their first outing as a group this week for Environmental Action! Students are enjoying being more active in their local community and making the difference. Another reason to celebrate is that students are showing very good attendance.

P2 students had a special party to celebrate Mohamed’s birthday, our Momo. Students organised the celebration themselves and we received a lovely message from Momo’s family in France. They loved seeing Momo surrounded by friends. Students are showing more independence during Travel & Tourism and Catering. They baked delicious fairy cakes this week!

P1 students are also improving rapidly during their Catering lessons. Students cooked pasta for lunch yesterday and staff celebrated their skills in the kitchen. One student really mastered her chopping skills and the result was a delicious meal.
